Rice And Spam at CES Las Vegas 2018
That time of the year is upon us again, the Consumer Electronics Show 2018, in one of the best place to have it, Las Vegas! Vegas Baby! We have been attending CES for the last 3 years and each year it's always interesting. From meeting Max and Bianca from Insta360 to hanging out with Ryan Bell, to having a fantastic meal with Aaron Roth from Arkon.com. There are so many people to meet, things to see, and booths to experience. If you're into robotics, there's something for you. If you're into fitness and fitness wearables, there's something for you. If you're into media, like cameras, tv, systems, you got it, something for you. From our estimation, there was about 175,000 people in attendance in 2017 and about 4000 exhibitors. What does that mean? So much potential for interaction and getting free swag!
Top 3 Best things to do at CES Las Vegas 2018
hen attending ces las vegas 2018, what does one do? What things can some people who attend for the first time should consider? Well here are 3 things you can do when going to CES.
Free swag! Did i mention free swag? I don't know if you know this, but they hand out free stuff all the time. Every exhibitor doesn't always give out free stuff, but many do! From T-shirts to charging cables to phone glass protection to cameras, to a lot of stuff! Just walk the floor talk with people. When i saw talk with people I dont' mean, just say "Hey, do you have free stuff?" I mean, like really talk with people.
Photo Opportunities! here is a good tie in with many companies there, you take your photos at some booths, hash tag their product that you were there, and boom more free stuff. But beyond the free stuff, you can see a lot of innovated tech that hasnt even hit the stores yet, or has barely see the light of day with consumers. It's so awesome to be able to see emerging tech and be the first to see these things. There's also celebrity sightings there, you can catch a glimpse at some fo the nerd celebs walking the floor.
Meeting People behind the products. Bringing this all together; Meeting the minds behind the products and innovations. Not just talking the tech, but getting to know the individuals on a personal level. Being able to share experiences that will carry beyong the floor of the convention. Rice and I have still maintained some of the friendships that had started at CES and beyond, and still maintain a friendship with them.
